24th April 2020Nguyen Thi Ha’s aspirant ceremony

There was a kind of a strange atmosphere due to the threat of coronavirus, with everybody wearing masks. Father Kato, in his sermon, spoke of consecrated life truly bearing fruit during this time in church history.
Ms.Ha graduated from the Japanese language school in March this year and is constantly learning more and more about Japan and its culture. And at the same time, she is delighted to be starting a new life as a sister of St Johns and being able to pray together. The world is full of anxiety and fear in its wonder and there are times when you can't see tomorrow. I think this ceremony is also a light when the mass that feeds our hearts is gone and we are taken as consecrated people. Having the number of sisters praying and walking with us is both a joy and gives us hope.
