7th November
Christmas Sale at the Catholic Fuchu Church

We also prepared "rice crackers" produced by the St. John's School in Oshino-mura, Yamanashi Prefecture. We also had a new booth this year, selling items from Caritas Minamisoma, with whom we have been in contact for some time. For the past few years, the Sakura-machi St. John's Festival has not been held at the Koganei City headquarters of the St. John's Society of Social Welfare due to the corona virus. The proceeds from the annual St. John's Festival have provided Caritas Minami-Soma with much-needed items for its activities (e.g., vehicles for transportation, bulletin boards, etc.). We were very sorry that we could not provide tangible support for the activities of Caritas Minamisoma, but we were happy to have a small opportunity to support their activities at an unexpected time.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and the smiling faces of the people of Fuchu Church, and the sales event was filled with joy. We pray that next year we will be able to have a church-wide bazaar.... With heartfelt thanks to our chief priest, Fr. Andrea, our assistant priest, Fr. Vincent, and the congregation!
