For example, consecrated life is a gift given by God to the Church (Const. 15), see also Paul's letter, II Corinthians 2,15
"We are good aroma offered to God through Christ.”
This is a clear expression of our relationship with the Church.
"We are a community of nuns called to devote our lives as a sign of the coming of the Kingdom of God, especially to the sick, the afflicted and the vulnerable. And so it is written. When we live this mission deeply united to the love of Christ, as in the parable of the vine in John 15, we will become a good aroma offered to God.
Also, in the section on the three vows of chastity, the vow of chastity is a gift of the Holy Spirit, who is love. The Holy Spirit is called the pneuma, the wind, and the breath, and is the most important gift that we cannot see but cannot live without. The Holy Spirit is the most important gift of all.
"By the way, we have such a treasure in earthen vessels. We have put these treasures in earthen vessels, that it may be evident that this extraordinary and great power belongs to God and not to us. And.
Mother Okamura said, "God often does great things through small, trivial things. Mother Okamura said. The St. Johns was founded during the most difficult time of the war, and since then we have been responding one by one to the needs of the time. Father said, why at such a difficult time? He said that it was because of the difficult times that God would give us a mission.
The apostle John was with Jesus on the cross until the end, and I think he saw God's love most closely. And the apostle John preaches "love". Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God ... for God is love (John 4:7-8). Paul also speaks of love in 1 Corinthians 13. Even if you speak the language of men and angels...without love you are nothing...Faith, hope, and love are the three. The best of the three is love.
Right now, the whole world is living under corona with no clear future. However, through this silent meditation, I realized that this is why we are required to keep moving forward with our daily prayers, community life, and the service we are given.
Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Father Yamauchi who walked with us these 8 days, shared with us joys and hardships, and also shared many enjoyable stories.
Also, I would like to thank very much the Sisters of the Church of the Holy Spirit who so thoughtfully prepared the House of Meditation.
We returned home small and poor, but with a bright light of hope.
